News Hello BON members- Please see the following letter for exciting new details as BON moves forward this next year There are many ideas circulating to continue with our organization as a professional group of committed members, and we are pleased you are a part of BON. We will be sending you information as it arises on the plans for this next year. Please mark your calendars for the conference 2009, and spread the word. As projects unfold, we will be calling on you who are interested to join in discussions. Part of the success in networking is doing things together and we believe in you. Bereavement Ontario Network Announcement Background Information: Thank you to all members who supported our recent BON Conference in Qrillia. A few members met after the conference, and a strategic planning committee was formed to explore areas needed to move BON forward as a reliable, solid organization. We are pleased in announce that the committee was very successful in their decision making. This announcement is a summary of those decisions. BON is pleased to announce our new Executive:
We would like to thank Marilyn Cox for her excellent service of 5 years to BON. Marilyn has been the glue that has kept BON moving in the right direction. BON wishes her well in her new position at Huron College . Moving forward : The Executive Committee decided that in order for the BON organization to grow that an Executive Director needed to be hired. The Executive Directors role would be to develop the organization along with providing the administrative duties. We are pleased to announce that Eugene Dufour has accepted this role effective Nov. 17, 2008. Eugene has over 25 years of experience in hospice palliative care, bereavement counseling and not for profit organizational development. He has assembled a team of people to assist him in the administrative duties of the organization. The new contact information for BON is: Bereavement Ontario Network P.O.
